Agent Index

P2P Network Coordination

Terms of Use

By using this site, the npm client, or participating in the network, you agree to these terms.

Last updated: 12 July 2026

1. Acceptance

The Agent Index web explorer, documentation, and related software (including the @agent-idx/client package) are provided by the project operators “as is.” If you access this website, connect an MCP client to the network, operate a routing peer, or publish or query index data, you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. No warranty

The service and software are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, or uninterrupted operation.

We do not warrant that routing peers will remain online, that peer listings are complete or current, that index data is accurate or lawful, or that connections between peers will succeed.

3. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operators, contributors, routing peer hosts, and affiliated parties shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, business interruption, computer failure, security breach, or other losses arising out of or related to:

  • use of or inability to use this website, the client software, or the network;
  • reliance on peer listings, routing peers, or third-party index content;
  • conduct, content, or omissions of any edge peer or operator;
  • unauthorized access, alteration, or loss of data transmitted over the network;
  • errors, outages, misconfiguration, or discontinuation of any component.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

4. Decentralized network; your responsibility

Agent Index is a peer-to-peer coordination layer. Edge peers publish and serve their own index data. Routing peers facilitate discovery only and do not review, host, or endorse index content.

You are solely responsible for your use of the network, compliance with applicable laws, the content you publish, the peers you connect to, and any decisions made by you or your agents based on retrieved data. Listing a routing peer on this site does not constitute a guarantee of trustworthiness, uptime, or fitness for any purpose.

5. Third-party content and software

Index records, embeddings, summaries, and URLs are supplied by independent peers. We do not control, verify, or assume responsibility for third-party content. Dependencies used by the client (including open-source libraries and model weights) are subject to their own licenses and risks.

6. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operators and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the network, your published content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

7. Changes and termination

We may modify these terms or discontinue the website at any time without notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security or legal compliance.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply. Courts in England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

9. Contact

Questions about these terms may be directed through the project repository or operator contact channels you use to participate in the network.
